Mission Statement

Responsible for establishing policy for the school system, the five members of the School Committee serve three-year staggered terms. The Committee approves and presents the budget of the School Department, and sets policies concerning hiring of personnel, wages and curriculum, acting on the recommendations of the Superintendent. The Committee may collaborate with other towns, using state and federal funding for supplementary educational programs.
