The senior tax work-off program is a way for seniors to work at various jobs throughout the town to earn up to $750 off of their property tax bill. Applications are available in December for those who want to continue to participate and for any new applicants. You must reapply for this program every year! All applicants will be required to complete appropriate paperwork with Town Hall, because the benefit earned in this program must be claimed as income for federal income tax purposes. In order to participate, you must be over 60 years of age and have owned and resided in your
Harvard home for at least one year. There is only one abatement allowed per property. The rate of earnings is $8.00 per hour. The maximum number of hours you can work is 93.75.
