New and Amended Board of Health Bylaw Rules

On June 11, 2019, after a public hearing, the Harvard Board of Health voted to amend Article X: Sale of Tobacco Products in the Harvard Board of Health Bylaw Rules, Chapter 145, of the Code of the Town of Harvard.  The amendments expand the list of flavored tobacco products banned from sale in Harvard to include menthol, mint, and wintergreen.  Click here to read the amended Article, effective November 1, 2019.  

On June 25, 2019, after a public hearing, the Harvard Board of Health voted to include a new Article in the Board of Health Bylaw Rules, Chapter 145 of the Code of the Town of Harvard. The Article is entitled Regulation Prohibiting Smoking in Workplaces and Public Spaces and bans smoking, including vaping, of products in workplaces and public spaces in Harvard.  Click here to read the amended Article, effective September 23, 2019.  

On October 8, 2019, at a public meeting, the Harvard Board of Health voted to amend Article III: Private Wells in the Board of Health Bylaw Rules, Chapter 145, of the Code of the Town of Harvard.  The amendments include clarifications to the descriptions of various wells on private property, the limits for radionuclides and other testing results and shifted the requirement for abutter notification, of application for variances, to the applicant.  Click here to read the amended Article, effective November 1, 2019.
