Amendments to Board of Health regulations

On October 26, 2021, at a public meeting, the Harvard Board of Health voted to amend Article VII, entitled Sale of Tobacco Products, in Chapter 145, Section 63(I)(3) of the Code of Harvard. The amendment prohibits issuance of a tobacco sales permit to retail locations within 500 feet of a public or private school, licensed after-school or daycare programs, or town-owned venues used for youth events.

On November 9, 2021, at a public hearing, the Harvard Board of Health voted to amend Article II, entitled Private Wells, in Chapter 145 of the Code of Harvard. The amendments include adding and refining definitions, clarifying water quality sampling and analysis requirements, clarifying and making requirements for agricultural wells less stringent, and clarifying the requirements for irrigation wells.  Other minor amendments were made to improve consistency in the Regulation.

These amended regulations are effective November 23, 2021.
